Air Conditioning in San Jose, CA
Central air conditioning, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and the ductwork behind them. You see what is actually wrong before you spend anything, and you approve a written scope and price before a single component is replaced.
Serving Santa Clara & San Mateo Counties
Cooling fails on the hottest day of the year, never on a mild Tuesday, and that timing is what most homeowners end up paying for. Ozone Service covers the whole category, from a compressor that quit this morning to a system that was sized wrong when it went in and has been short-cycling ever since.
Our technicians are employees rather than subcontractors, so the person who diagnoses the problem is the one who has to stand behind the fix.
AC Installation & Replacement
New and replacement central air conditioning, sized by load calculation, permitted, inspected, and commissioned before we leave the property.
AC Repair & Maintenance
Free diagnostics on no-cool calls, plus seasonal maintenance that catches refrigerant, airflow, and electrical issues before they turn into breakdowns.
Ductless Mini-Split Systems
Cooling for homes without ductwork, additions, ADUs, and garages. Each zone is controlled independently, so nothing is wasted on unused rooms.
Mini-Split Repair
Diagnostics and repair for wall units, condensers, line sets, and controls.
Heat Pump Installation
One system for both cooling and heating. A panel upgrade is rarely required in most cases, and we confirm that during the estimate.
Ductwork Replacement
Undersized, leaking, or poorly designed ducts give away the efficiency you paid for. We redesign and replace for correct airflow room by room.

Why Bay Area Homeowners Choose Ozone Service
Correct Sizing Instead of Guesswork
Oversized air conditioning cools the air quickly, shuts off before it removes humidity, and short cycles its way to an early failure. We run a load calculation and size the system to your home, which is why our installations hold their performance.
EPA 608 Certified Technicians
Refrigerant charge is where cooling systems get quietly ruined. Our technicians are certified, and we verify charge and airflow at commissioning rather than assuming the factory charge is correct.
Diagnosis First, Written Price After
An oversized system short cycles and wears out early. An undersized system runs constantly and never reaches setpoint. We calculate the actual load for your home before we recommend equipment.
100% City Inspection Pass Rate
Every installation passes city inspection. Permits pulled, equipment sized correctly, and no shortcuts on refrigerant or electrical protection.
HVAC and Electrical Under One License Holder
When a cooling project touches a circuit, a disconnect, or the service panel, our own licensed electricians handle it. One team, one contract, one point of accountability.
Our Process
Step 1
Diagnostic and Estimate
We come out, look at the system and the ductwork, and establish what is actually happening before anything gets quoted.
Step 2
Written Scope of Work
You get the recommendation in writing with the reasoning behind it and the price attached. When the system can be fixed rather than replaced, that option is on the same page.
Step 3
Permits
Work that requires a permit is filed through the city or county building department before it starts.
Step 4
The Work
Our own technicians carry it out on a timeline we give you upfront. Jobs that reach into ductwork or electrical get their own schedule at the estimate before you commit.
Step 5
Commissioning and Inspection
We verify refrigerant charge, airflow, and thermostat operation, pass the city inspection where one applies, and walk you through the system before we leave.

What Our Customers Say
EXCELLENT Based on 85 reviews Posted on Google Md. Abul Bashar ShantoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Got a full heat pump system installed last month and honestly couldn't be happier with how the whole process went. From the first visit to final inspection, the team was organized and clearly knew what they were doing. What I didn't expect was how much help they gave me with the rebate programs - I had no idea how much money was available until Konstantin walked me through everything. They handled all the paperwork on their end, and my out-of-pocket ended up being significantly less than the initial quote. The system has been running quietly and efficiently since day one. Highly recommend to anyone in San Jose thinking about making the switch.Posted on Google faiqah firzanahTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. AC stopped working on a Friday afternoon. Called Ozone, they came out the same day, found the issue fast, and had everything running before dinner. No drama, fair price. Thanks guys.Posted on Google Amit MTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very efficient, on-time and fair priced. Thank you.Posted on Google A LTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a great meeting with Konstantin who explained "AC + furnace" vs heat pump, options, decision points. He presented impartially many technical and practical details and considerations that I find critical in making the right choices. Update: The heat pump installation was completed on time with no hiccups. Aleksander, the lead installer, was great in both the technical side but also explaining to me some very important details of the job and the future use. Definitely recommend them!Posted on Google Mark BernalTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very helpful in diagnostics check. We needed a completely new HVAC system installed, and we had a great experience working with this team. I’ll admit I’m pretty picky and detail-oriented when it comes to work being done on our house, especially during a major renovation, so I don’t give praise lightly. That’s part of why I wanted to write this review. Konstantine took the time to explain the product options and installation process very clearly, which made us feel confident from the beginning. He was always responsive and easy to reach — whenever we had questions or concerns, he picked up the phone, understood our situation, and worked hard with us to solve problems in a thoughtful and kind way. That level of care meant a lot to us. Since we’re doing a full house renovation, we later needed to relocate some HVAC vents and return locations that had already been installed. Even though this meant coming back to our house multiple times, they were incredibly kind and accommodating about making those changes for us. Special thanks to Alex for going above and beyond — we really appreciated his patience and help, especially since they had to come back more than three times for us. The whole team was professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about doing the job right. Even as someone who is pretty particular, I was very pleased with their work and highly recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC service.Posted on Google Alex PérezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Truly outstanding service and HVAC system. Konstantin and his group are extremely competent professionals who are very fairly priced and honest in their dealings. We were extremely impressed by how knowledgeable, polite, and hardworking the Ozone folks are. It’s an amazing business and I will use them for all HVAC needs. I recommend them enthusiastically.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Frequently Asked Questions
Should I repair my AC or replace it?
That depends on what failed. A capacitor, a contactor, or a control board is a routine repair on a system of any age. A failed compressor or a leak in the coil is a different conversation. The part cost approaches replacement and the equipment is usually old enough that the rest of it is not far behind. We diagnose first, tell you which category you are in, and give you the numbers for both paths.
How quickly can you get out when the AC stops working in summer?
We are available 24/7, with same-day service in most cases. Heat waves are the one time demand spikes across every contractor in the county at once, so the earlier in the day you call, the better the odds of a same-day slot.
Does a heat pump cool as well as a standard air conditioner?
Yes, it does. In cooling mode, a heat pump runs the same refrigeration cycle as a conventional AC and delivers comparable cooling performance. The difference is that it reverses that cycle in winter and heats the home as well, which is why many homeowners replace a furnace and an AC with a single system.
Do you work with all brands?
Yes, we do. We service and repair most major residential brands, including equipment that is out of production, as long as parts are still obtainable. If your system is an orphan brand, tell us the model at the first call and we will confirm parts availability before we come out.
Do I need to replace my ductwork when I replace the AC?
No, not always. We inspect the ducts during the estimate. If they are correctly sized and sealed, we reuse them. If they are undersized, leaking, or badly designed, which is common in homes built before 2000, we recommend replacement because running new equipment through bad ducts gives away the efficiency you just paid for.
My AC runs all day and the house still never gets cool. What does that mean?
That usually points to one of three things: the system was sized wrong when it went in, the refrigerant charge is off, or the ducts are not delivering what the equipment produces. All three look identical from inside the house and none of them are fixed by replacing the thermostat. Diagnosis tells us which one it is, and that determines whether you are looking at a repair or a system that was never right to begin with.
What warranty comes with an AC or heat pump installation?
Our installation work carries a three-year workmanship warranty as standard. That coverage can extend up to 12 years if you stay on annual maintenance from the fourth year onward, and we cover the first two of those visits, in years four and five, at no charge. Extended labor coverage also depends on the equipment warranty behind it. The equipment itself is covered by its manufacturer for up to 12 years depending on the brand. Repairs carry a one-year warranty on our work. Whatever applies to your project is written into your estimate before you approve anything.
Find Out Why Your Cooling Is Not Keeping Up
No trip fee, no diagnostic charge. We diagnose the actual fault, walk you through what we found, and give you the repair option alongside the replacement option so you can compare them yourself.
