Energy Rebates for Bay Area Homeowners -
What You Need to Know

State and local energy rebate programs help homeowners
in the Bay Area offset the cost of upgrading to energy-efficient HVAC systems – including heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, and qualifying electrical improvements. These programs are funded by California utilities and state energy agencies, and can be stacked together to significantly reduce your out-of-pocket installation cost.

Ozone Service is a participating contractor with all major programs in our service area:

Program availability, funding levels, and eligibility requirements change frequently – sometimes monthly. We stay current on every active program so you don’t have to.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I stack multiple programs on one installation?

Yes, most programs can be stacked. TECH Clean California (when available), your local CCA rebates (SVCE, PCE, or Silicon Valley Power), and any remaining local incentives can usually be combined. We check all possible combinations for your specific address during the free estimate.

It typically takes 4-12 weeks after installation and submission of all required documents. Processing time varies by program – local CCA rebates are often faster, while TECH/HEEHRA can take longer depending on current volume and waitlist status.

Almost nothing. We handle the paperwork and submit the rebate applications on your behalf. You’ll only need to review and sign the necessary forms. We make the process as hands-off as possible.

If installed in 2025, you can still claim the federal 25C tax credit (up to $2,000 for qualifying heat pumps) when filing your 2025 tax return.

Installations in 2026 are generally not eligible for the federal 25C credit, as it expired at the end of 2025. However, local CCA and other state incentives may still apply depending on timing and program rules.

Partially yes. Some programs help with electrical infrastructure as part of full electrification. We evaluate your electrical needs and available support during the free estimate.
