 Electrical Services

Heating, Cooling, and Electrical Work Built for Sunnyvale Homes

Sunnyvale sits inland, away from the coastal fog, so summer afternoons get hot and dry while winters stay mild. That combination is why a heat pump makes sense here. One system covers both heating and cooling, and it never has to fight a hard freeze. What decides whether it performs is sizing. We measure your home’s actual load instead of matching whatever was there before, because an oversized system cycles on and off all day and wears itself out early.

A lot of Sunnyvale housing dates to the 1950s and 1960s. Many of those homes have low or flat roofs with almost no attic, which leaves no room to run standard ducts. That does not mean you are stuck with window units. Ductless mini-splits mount on the wall and run to a single outdoor unit, room by room, with no ductwork at all. In homes that do have ducts, we check them first, because ducts built decades ago are often the reason a newer system still leaves back bedrooms warm.

Ozone Service handles the HVAC and the electrical side with one licensed team. Switching to a heat pump rarely requires an electrical panel upgrade, and we check your panel during the free estimate so you only pay for what your system actually needs. One crew runs the job from system selection through installation, permits, and the rebate paperwork most contractors leave to you.

Why Homeowners Choose Ozone Service

Rebates & Incentives for Bay Area Homeowners

Ozone Service has secured over $350,000 in rebates in the past 6 months. We help Bay Area homeowners reduce the cost of upgrading to energy-efficient heating and cooling systems. Depending on your location, utility provider, and equipment selected, you may qualify for valuable rebates and financing programs. We handle the documentation - most contractors don't.

Free Estimates & Free Diagnostics

No trip fee. No diagnostic charge. We assess the full system, identify the problem, and hand you a written scope and price before any work begins. After fixing a compressor for one of our clients, Tim checked the rest of the system at no extra charge to rule out downstream issues. That's not exceptional - that's how we work.

EPA 608 Certified
& BBB Accredited

Handling refrigerant the right way matters.
Our EPA 608 certified technicians follow strict standards for refrigerant recovery, leak prevention,
and system charging - helping protect
the environment while keeping your HVAC system efficient and reliable. BBB Accreditation means there's a paper trail and accountability if anything falls short.

HVAC + Electrical Under One Roof

Heat pump installations require both HVAC
and electrical work. Because Ozone Service
is licensed in both trades, we provide complete
in-house service from start to finish - no need
to coordinate multiple contractors.
From equipment installation and wiring to permits and final testing, everything is handled under one roof for a smoother, faster project.

Up to 12-Year Warranty on Parts & Labor

We put up to 12 years on both parts and labor in writing - because a system installed correctly shouldn't need to be touched. If your home needs a panel upgrade or additional electrical work as part of the project, that's covered under the same warranty. One scope, one guarantee.

Rebates and Incentives for Sunnyvale Homeowners

Replacing a gas furnace or an aging AC with efficient electric heating and cooling in Sunnyvale can qualify for significant rebates. The programs stack, so a local incentive can be combined with the main statewide program to bring your out-of-pocket cost down.

On top of that, Sunnyvale homes are served by PG&E and by Silicon Valley Clean Energy, the community energy provider for Santa Clara County cities, and those programs can stack with other programs available at that time.

Rebate amounts and requirements change and depend on your specific project, so we confirm which programs apply, make sure your installation qualifies, and handle the documentation. Call us and we will tell you what is available right now for the work you are planning.

What Our Customers Say

Frequently Asked Questions

Our house has a flat roof and no attic. Can we still get real heating and cooling?

Yes, you can. Homes like this cannot take standard ducts, so we use a ductless system instead. Indoor units mount high on the wall in each room and connect to one outdoor unit through a small line set. You control each room on its own, so you are not paying to condition a bedroom nobody is using. Installation is far less invasive than opening ceilings for ductwork.

Sometimes, yes. We inspect them during the free estimate and look at three things: leaks, sizing, and how air is balanced between rooms. If the ducts are sound and sized correctly, we reuse them and you save money. If they are leaking into the crawlspace or too small for a modern system, we tell you before the install, not after. Running a new system through bad ducts wastes the efficiency you paid for.

Yes, you need a city permit. Replacing heating and cooling equipment is permitted work, and so is the electrical that goes with it. We pull the permit through the city building department, schedule the inspection, and close the job out properly. If a contractor offers to skip this to save you a few hundred dollars, it can turn into a problem when you sell the house.

Yes, we do. We handle townhomes and condo units, including buildings where the outdoor unit sits in shared space or on a roof. Those projects usually need HOA approval before work starts, and we can give you the equipment details and specifications your association asks for.
