Gas to Electric Conversion
in San Jose, CA
Going all-electric touches your heating, your water heater, and your panel at the same time. We do all three under one contract, so nobody points at anyone else when a question comes up.
Serving Santa Clara & San Mateo Counties
What Going All-Electric Actually Involves
Most homeowners do not wake up wanting to electrify. They have a furnace that is done, or a water heater that failed, and someone mentions that the gas replacement is not the only option.
That is the right moment to look at the whole picture. Replacing one appliance at a time locks in decisions about your panel and your wiring that are expensive to undo later. We map out the full path first, then you decide how much of it to do now and how much to leave for later.
What You Get
Whatever scope you choose, every conversion we complete includes the following:
Whole-Home Load Calculation
We calculate what your home will actually draw once the new equipment is in, rather than adding up nameplate ratings. This is the number that decides everything downstream.
Equipment Selection
We recommend size, brand, and configuration based on the load calculation, not on what is convenient to install.
Electrical Work In-House
Circuits, disconnects, and any panel work are done by our own licensed electricians under the same contract.
Permits and City Inspection
Filed with your city or county before work begins, inspected before the job is closed out.
Scheduling That Keeps You Running
Equipment swap, wiring, and gas shutdown are sequenced so your home is not without heat or hot water longer than necessary.
Commissioning and Walkthrough
We verify the system runs correctly and walk you through the new controls before we leave.
Warranty
HVAC installation labor is covered for 3 years, extending up to 12 years with annual maintenance from year 4 onward, and we cover the first two maintenance years. Electrical labor is covered for 1 year. Equipment is covered by the manufacturer, up to 12 years for HVAC and up to 10 years for electrical components, depending on the brand.
What We Convert
Four separate decisions, and you do not have to make all of them at once.
Heating and Cooling
Best for: an aging gas furnace, or a furnace and AC replaced together
The furnace comes out and a heat pump goes in, handling both heating and cooling. Existing ducts are usually reusable. Homes without ducts go ductless, zone by zone.
Water Heating
Best for: a gas tank at the end of its life
A heat pump water heater replaces the gas tank. It runs on electricity and uses far less of it than a standard electric tank.
Cooking and Laundry
Best for: switching from a gas range or gas dryer
Electric appliances need their own circuit run to that spot. We handle that wiring as part of the same job rather than sending you to a second contractor.
Gas Shutdown
Included with every conversion
Lines feeding removed appliances are capped and sealed properly. We do not leave live stubs behind a wall.
What a Heat Pump Actually Costs After Incentives
The gross cost of a heat pump installation is only part of the picture. Bay Area homeowners have access to three stacking incentive programs that significantly reduce out-of-pocket cost.
We identify which programs apply to your project, ensure the installation meets all rebate program requirements, and handle the documentation. Most contractors don’t touch the paperwork – we do.
Sample Сalculation
San Jose homeowner, heat pump installation, standard income:
SVCE
$2,500
CA Energy-Smart Homes
$5,750
Net savings
$8,250
Rebate availability changes quickly and is often first-come, first-served or waitlisted. We calculate your exact eligibility and current stacking options as part of the free estimate – no guesswork, no surprises.
Will You Need a Bigger Electrical Panel?
Usually not. This is the single biggest misconception about going electric, and it stops a lot of homeowners before they start.
Modern heat pumps and heat pump water heaters draw less than people expect. Many Bay Area homes have room in the existing panel once the real numbers are run. Where capacity is tight, there are ways to make it work without a full service upgrade, including load management devices and smarter circuit planning.
If your panel is fine, we say so and you save that money. If it genuinely needs work, you will see the math behind the recommendation before you commit to a panel upgrade.
This Service May Cost Less Than You Think
Bay Area utility programs and state energy incentives may offset a significant part of your cost. We check what applies to your home and handle all the paperwork as part of your free estimate, at no charge.
From First Call to Final Inspection
Step 1
Free Assessment
We look at what you have now, take panel readings, check your ducts, and ask how long you plan to stay in the home. No charge, no obligation.
Step 2
Plan and Approval
We show you what happens in what order and what each step depends on. You choose the scope, including a phased plan if that suits you better.
Step 3
Permits
Filed with your city or county building department before work begins.
Step 4
Installation
Equipment swap, wiring, and gas line shutdown handled together. A straightforward heating conversion takes one to two days. Adding water heating or circuit work extends that.
Step 5
Inspection and Commissioning
The city inspects. We verify the system runs correctly and walk you through the new controls.
Why Bay Area Homeowners Choose Us for This
HVAC and Electrical Under One Roof
A conversion needs both licenses. Most companies hold one and hire out the other, which is where schedules slip and warranties get murky. We hold both, so one team sizes the equipment, runs the circuits, pulls the permits, and answers the phone afterward.
We Handle the Rebate Paperwork
Most contractors install the system and leave the rebate process to you. We know which programs apply, make sure the installation qualifies, and file the documentation ourselves.
Honest Advice on When to Convert
If your furnace has ten good years left and your goals do not justify replacing it, we say that during the free estimate. A conversion done at the wrong moment is an expensive way to be unhappy.

Got a full heat pump system installed last month and honestly couldn't be happier with how the whole process went. From the first visit to final inspection, the team was organized and clearly knew what they were doing. What I didn't expect was how much help they gave me with the rebate programs - I had no idea how much money was available until Konstantin walked me through everything. They handled all the paperwork on their end, and my out-of-pocket ended up being significantly less than the initial quote. The system has been running quietly and efficiently since day one. Highly recommend to anyone in San Jose thinking about making the switch.Posted on Google![]()

AC stopped working on a Friday afternoon. Called Ozone, they came out the same day, found the issue fast, and had everything running before dinner. No drama, fair price. Thanks guys.Posted on Google![]()

Had a great meeting with Konstantin who explained "AC + furnace" vs heat pump, options, decision points. He presented impartially many technical and practical details and considerations that I find critical in making the right choices. Update: The heat pump installation was completed on time with no hiccups. Aleksander, the lead installer, was great in both the technical side but also explaining to me some very important details of the job and the future use. Definitely recommend them!Posted on Google![]()

We needed a completely new HVAC system installed, and we had a great experience working with this team. I’ll admit I’m pretty picky and detail-oriented when it comes to work being done on our house, especially during a major renovation, so I don’t give praise lightly. That’s part of why I wanted to write this review. Konstantine took the time to explain the product options and installation process very clearly, which made us feel confident from the beginning. He was always responsive and easy to reach — whenever we had questions or concerns, he picked up the phone, understood our situation, and worked hard with us to solve problems in a thoughtful and kind way. That level of care meant a lot to us. Since we’re doing a full house renovation, we later needed to relocate some HVAC vents and return locations that had already been installed. Even though this meant coming back to our house multiple times, they were incredibly kind and accommodating about making those changes for us. Special thanks to Alex for going above and beyond — we really appreciated his patience and help, especially since they had to come back more than three times for us. The whole team was professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about doing the job right. Even as someone who is pretty particular, I was very pleased with their work and highly recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC service.Posted on Google![]()

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my electric bill go up if I stop using gas?
Your electric bill will go up and your gas bill will go away. Whether the total lands higher or lower depends on your rate plan, your usage, and how bad your old equipment was. We walk through your actual numbers during the estimate instead of quoting an average.
Do I have to convert everything at once?
No, and most people do not. Heating is usually first because it is the biggest load. Water heating often follows. The important thing is planning the electrical side once, so each step fits the plan.
What happens to my gas line and my gas meter?
Lines to removed appliances are capped and sealed. The meter stays unless you ask your utility to remove it, which is a separate request you make directly to them. Many homeowners keep it for a while and decide later.
Can I keep my gas stove and still switch the heating?
Absolutely. Heating, water heating, and cooking are independent decisions. Plenty of our customers convert the heating and keep cooking on gas.
What happens during a power outage if everything runs on electricity?
You lose heating and hot water, the same way you lose your lights and your refrigerator. Worth knowing: a gas furnace also stops in an outage, because its controls and its blower run on electricity. If outages are a real concern at your address, we can plan the electrical work so a generator or battery can be added later.
Is my city going to require this at some point anyway?
Some Bay Area cities have started restricting gas appliance replacement in certain situations, and the rules differ from one city to the next. We check what applies at your address during the estimate so nothing surprises you when the permit is filed.
Is my house too old for this?
Age alone is rarely the obstacle. Older Bay Area homes tend to need attention to ducts and insulation more than to wiring. We identify anything that would limit performance during the assessment.
Can I convert a rental property or a duplex?
That is work we do regularly. The load calculation covers everything on the service, and each unit’s equipment is sized on its own. Permitting follows the same process, and we schedule around tenant access.
