We Size EV Charger Circuits to the Panel You Already Have
A Level 2 charger is a continuous load on a dedicated circuit, and how it is sized decides whether your existing service can carry it. Our licensed electricians calculate the load, select the conductor and the overcurrent protection for your specific charger, and tell you honestly whether the panel supports it as is. The work is permitted and inspected like any other electrical installation.

We Replace Unsafe Legacy Panels, We Never Install Them
Federal Pacific and Zinsco panels are still common in older Bay Area homes, and both have well-documented failure modes in their breakers. We replace them. We do not install them, and we do not add circuits to them as a workaround.

Do you handle both residential and commercial electrical work?
Yes, we do. We work in single-family homes, ADUs, condos, multi-unit residential buildings, offices, retail spaces, and light industrial properties. The process is the same in both cases: assessment, permit, licensed installation, and city inspection.
Does a panel replacement have to meet current code?
Yes, it does. What applies is the code in force on the day your permit is pulled, and that is exactly what the inspector verifies. We confirm the current requirements for your jurisdiction before we quote, so they are in the scope from the start instead of surfacing at inspection.
Do you pull permits for electrical work?
Yes, we do. Panel upgrades, subpanels, EV charger circuits, dedicated circuits, and rewiring are all permitted through the relevant city or county building department. An unpermitted electrical installation creates problems at resale and can complicate a claim after an incident.
Can a handyman do my electrical work, or do I need a licensed electrician?
For work that ties into your home’s electrical system, a licensed electrical contractor and a permit are what protect you later. You’ll need it when the house sells and the work has to be disclosed and if an insurer ever asks how the installation was done. We are a licensed electrical and HVAC contractor. We pull the permit, and the inspection stays attached to the property. If you are not sure whether your project needs a permit, ask before the work starts rather than after.
What if my home has a Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel?
Then we recommend replacement rather than repair. Both brands have known breaker failure issues, replacement parts are effectively unavailable, and adding load to them is not something we will do. We quote a full panel replacement instead.
What warranty do you provide on electrical work?
Our installation and repair work carries a one-year workmanship warranty in writing. Installed equipment is covered separately by its manufacturer, up to 10 years depending on the brand. The coverage that applies to your project is set out in your written estimate before you approve anything.
