Frequently Asked Questions
One of my indoor units stopped working, but the others are fine. What's wrong?
On a multi-zone system, a single dead head usually points to a communication fault between that head and the outdoor unit, a failed indoor control board, or a refrigerant issue on that branch. Because the other zones still work, the outdoor unit itself is often fine. We isolate the branch during the diagnostic and tell you exactly which it is.
There's a blinking light on my mini-split. What does it mean?
The blinking pattern is an error code the unit stores when it detects a fault, often a sensor, a communication problem, or a protection trip. The pattern narrows it down, but it does not replace a diagnostic. We read the code, confirm the actual cause on-site, and quote from there.
Water is dripping from the indoor head. Is that serious?
Yes, it can be. It usually means the condensate drain is clogged or the condensate pump has failed, so water backs up instead of draining. Left alone, it can stain walls and cause mold, so it is worth addressing quickly. It is also one of the more affordable mini-split repairs when caught early.
Is the diagnostic visit really free?
